Call for Papers

At the ISLSSL XV European Congress Ljubljana (16–18 September 2026), participants are invited to submit proposals for paper presentations, poster sessions, and book or journal presentations.

All submissions must be made online through the official submission form. Proposals sent by email will not be accepted.

Each proposal must be written in English and must comply with the character limits indicated in the submission form.

The working languages of the plenary sessions are English, French, and Spanish, with simultaneous interpretation provided. Parallel sessions will be conducted in English and will not include simultaneous interpretation. However, if there is sufficient interest, individual parallel sessions may be organised entirely in French or Spanish.

What to Submit (for all applicants)

Each proposal — regardless of the type of presentation — must include the following:

  • Author(s)’ full name(s) and affiliation(s)
  • Working title
  • Up to 5 keywords
  • Relevance & innovativeness (up to 400 characters)
  • Use of scientific methods (up to 400 characters)
  • Main conclusions and contribution (up to 1,000 characters)

All applicants must also select:

  • A Thematic part (1–3) and
  • A Specific stream (1–12) under which they wish their proposal to be reviewed.

Please note that the Scientific Board retains the right to assign submissions to the most appropriate panel or stream, or to reject them.

Additional Information (for Book or Journal Presentations only)

If you are submitting a Book Presentation or Journal Presentation, you must also provide the following additional information:

  • Publisher
  • Publication date (MM/YYYY)
  • ISBN or ISSN number

If Your Proposal Is Accepted

If your paper, poster, book, or journal presentation is accepted:

  • A PowerPoint or other presentation file must be submitted at least two weeks before the event.
  • The best papers may be selected for publication in a scientific monograph, with the final decision made after the Congress.
  • All presentations must be delivered in person.

Authors of accepted proposals (one presenter per submission) are entitled to a reduced conference fee.

A discount code for the reduced rate will be provided upon acceptance.

Transportation, accommodation, and other related expenses remain the responsibility of participants.

Key Deadlines

  • Proposal submission deadline: 15 February 2026
  • Acceptance notification: 31 March 2026
  • Registration and payment of the presenter’s conference fee: 30 April 2026
